Freeborn Collector Substation, Glenville, MN

Freeborn is a 161kV 250 MVA Collector Substation that uses two 161/34.5kV 125 MVA GSU Transformers, (3) 34.5kV Double Feeder Bays, (1) 34.5kV Triple Feeder Bay, (4) 9 Mvar Capacitor Banks and (2) 10 Mvar Reactors. Both high & low sides are open air welded tubular aluminum bus. Major equipment & material was furnished by others and installed by Paradigm. Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations, fence, grounding, conduit, cable trench, and power & control cable.

Maryneal Collector Substation, Maryneal, TX
April 2020 to October 2020.
The Maryneal Substation is a 345kV 211 MVA Collector Substation with a single 345/34.5kV GSU Transformer and (4) 34.5kV Double Feeder Bays. Both high & low sides utilized an open air welded tubular aluminum bus design including the 345kV tie-in to the existing Sweetwater Substation. The two substations are immediately adjacent and separated by chain link fencing. The work included modifications to Sweetwater relaying to incorporate Maryneal in the control & protection scheme. Major equipment & material was furnished by others and installed by Paradigm. Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations, fence, grounding, conduit, cable trench, and power & control cable.

Sagamore North & South Substations & Transmission, Rogers, NM
February 2020 to November 2020.
Sagamore consisted of two 345kV 312 MVA Substations and 14 miles of 345kV Transmission Line. Each substation has (2) 345/34.5kV 156 MVA GSU Transformers, (6) 34.5kV Double Feeder Bays, (4) 13.5 Mvar Capacitor Banks, and (2) 10 Mvar Reactor Banks. The Transmission Line is 14 miles of 345kV Bundled 954 ACSR “Cardinal” on Steel Mono-poles with guyed angles. 6.5 miles of the line tie the two substations together and the remaining 7.5 miles connect them to the existing Crossroads Substation. Major equipment & material was furnished by others and installed by Paradigm. Paradigm furnished and installed all fence, grounding, conduit, cable trench, and power & control cable.

November 2019 to May 2020.
This was the second phase of an existing wind farm which included the construction of a new 345kV 422 MVA Collector Substation and 7.5 miles 345kV Transmission Line. The sub consisted of (2) 345/34.5kV 211 MVA GSU Transformers and (8) 34.5kV Double Feeder Bays. The T-line was 7.5 miles of 354kV Bundled 954 ACSR “Rail” on direct buried Steel Mono-pole Structures with guyed angles. Major equipment & material was furnished by others and installed by Paradigm. Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations, fence, grounding, conduit, cable trench, and power & control cable.
