2018

Hale Wind Collector Substation, Petersburg, TX

October 2018 to February 2019.

With 630 MVA capacity this is the biggest 230kV substation that we have built to date.  This sub consists of (3) 230kV 210MVA Step-Up Transformers, (2) 230kV 68 Mvar Capacitor Banks and (22) 34.5kV Feeder Circuits and foundations containing over 750 cubic yards of concrete.  Wanzek provided civil work to prepare the site subgrade as well as major material, engineering, and a substation material package. Paradigm provided all labor and material for foundation work, fencing, conduit, cable trench, control & power cable and grounding.  We also provided labor for a complete installation and energization of all Wanzek and Xcel furnished substation equipment and bus work.  The time from mobilizing to the site to energization was just 17 weeks.
