Brady I & II 230kV Substations, Dickinson, ND

June - Sept 2016.

Brady started as a 230kV 170 MVA collector sub with provisions for another 170 MVA expansion, however due to land procurement issues the initial phase was delayed and eventually released as a single 340 MVA, dual MPT substation with (3) 230kV 12 MVAR capacitor banks, (6) 34.5kV feeder bays and (1) 34.5 reactor bay connecting a 6 MVAR shunt reactor.  Because of the delayed start we had to complete the entire substation as well as the Daglum Switchyard in 4 months.  Paradigm furnished all civil work from site subgrade development to finish rock.  We furnished and installed all foundations, fencing, grounding, conduits, cable trench and low voltage power & control cable.  All other material was furnished by NextEra and installed by Paradigm.
