Persimmon Creek 345kV Substation, Vici, OK

October 2017 - June 2018. 

Persimmon is a 233MVA 345kV Collector Substation designed for expansion with an extra 345kV Breaker and Dead End Structure.  It’s an open-air tubular aluminum bus design with (8) 34.5kV Feeder Bays and (1) 34.5kV Reactive Power Bay which connects to an 18MVAR NEPSI Capacitor Bank and a 26MVAR Reactor Bank.  Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations, fencing, grounding, conduits, cable trench and low voltage power & control cable.  All other material was furnished by Wanzek or the Owner and installed by Paradigm.

Persimmon Creek 345kV Switchyard, Vici, OK

October 2017 - May 2018. 

The Persimmon Switchyard is a 3 breaker ring bus designed to tie the Persimmon Wind Project to the Great Western Wind & Woodward District 345kV lines.  It an open air yard with tubular aluminum bus and steel structures.  Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations, fencing, grounding, conduits, cable trench and low voltage power & control cable.  All other material was furnished by Wanzek or the Owner and installed by Paradigm.

Bearkat 1 345kV Collector Substation, Midland, TX

June – October 2018. 

Bearkat is a 345kV, 220MVA collector substation with an additional 345kV tie-in deadend assembly.  It consists of 7 feeder bays and 1 reactive control bay which ties in (2) 12.6MVAR capacitor banks and (1) 12.6MVAR reactor bank.  It’s an open air tubular aluminum bus design on steel structures.  Paradigm furnished and installed the concrete foundations, fence, yard surface rock, grounding, conduit, cable trench, and low voltage power and control cable.  All other material and equipment was furnished by B&M or the Owner and installed by Paradigm.

Bearkat 1 345kV Transmission Line, Midland, TX

June – August 2017. 

Paradigm installed one mile of 345kV bundled 795 ACSR, steel mono-pole transmission line with direct buried tangents (slurry backfill) and self-supporting angles on pier foundations from the newly constructed Bearkat Collector Sub to the WETT POI.  All material except concrete & rebar was furnished by B&M.  Paradigm provided all necessary equipment and labor to construct the line.

Fluvanna 1 Wind Substation, Fluvanna, TX

February - June 2017. 

Fluvanna is a 250MVA 138kV dual MPT Collector Substation with (8) 34.5kV Feeder Bays and (2) 34.5kV Reactive Power Bays which connect to (4) 13.2MVAR Open Air Capacitor Banks and an 8MVAR Shunt Reactor.  Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations, fencing, grounding, conduits, cable trench and low voltage power & control cable.  All other material was furnished by Wanzek or the Owner and installed by Paradigm.

Fluvanna 1 Wind 138kV Transmission Line, Fluvanna, TX

February - June 2017. 

This 138kV line uses steel self-supporting angles on concrete piers, direct buried concrete mono-pole tangents and single 2156 ACSR conductor.  Paradigm furnished and installed all foundations with all other material furnished by Wanzek or the Owner and installed by Paradigm.

Bloom Wind Collector Substation, Minneola, KS

December 2016 – March, 2017. 

Bloom is a 345kV 178MVA Collector Sub with (7) 34.5kV Feeder Bay and (1) 9 MVAR 34.5kV Reactor Bay.  The design is tubular aluminum bus work connecting to 34.5kV UG risers.  CEG provided engineering, civil subgrade work and a complete material package except foundations.  Paradigm provided labor and material for the foundations and labor only for a complete installation of all substation equipment and bus work.

Bloom Wind 345kV Transmission Line, Minneola, KS

December 2016 – March, 2017. 

This 5 mile 345kV double bundled T2 Ibis transmission line is constructed with self-supporting steel angle structures on concrete piers and direct buried steel mono-pole tangents.  Paradigm provided labor and material for the foundations and back fill, and labor only for a complete installation and tie-in of the transmission line.  CEG furnished all other material.
